Green Reviews and the National Asbestos and Environmental Training Institute (NAETI) have developed a live 24-hour training course: Environmental Basics Course for Property Managers.
If your property managers require a basic understanding of their building processes related to environmental due diligence, OSHA, regulatory compliance and other fundamental scientific information, this course will provide them with that baseline understanding. Aimed at adult learners, the course covers the following fourteen subjects:

- Lead Based Paint — Health effects and tenants, regulatory issues, inspections, mitigation
- Mold — Types, sources, species, mitigation, guidelines
- Radon — Measurements, mitigation
- Stormwater — Spill Prevention and Countermeasure Control (SPCC) plans, discharge permits, stormwater reuse, and rainwater harvesting
- Subsurface Contamination — Plume development, tiered approaches to remediation, vapor intrusion
- Storage Tanks, Underground and Aboveground — Federal requirements, leak detection, registration
- Safety - Basic office safety, building safety, construction site safety, basic OSHA requirements
Overlaps with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Existing Buildings are discussed, and the course includes site visits and in-class exercises. The course is led by experienced instructors. The training course includes an exam and qualifies for 24 Continuous Learning Points.
