United States Postal Service
Green Reviews has conducted multi-media environmental compliance reviews at hundreds of Postal facilities throughout the nation. The USPS compliance programs include reviews of all operations and activities for compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Green Reviews also supported USPS in revising their environmental compliance auditing program including:
- Revising the compliance metric (facility compliance score) to more accurately reflect risk and facility activities/operations
- Streamlining the original USPS specific checklists and protocols developed from the US Army Construction and Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL)
- Integrating Postal-specific environmental checklists, a revised common noncompliance finding database, and scoring systems into CERL web-based application for use by environmental auditors throughout the United States and its territories
Green Reviews projects for the USPS included development of a Bulk Storage Container Database for the Southeast and Great Lakes areas. This project compiled and identified bulk storage containers at USPS facilities in fourteen states to streamline complying with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Our other services included preparation of Spill Pollution Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans, preparation of Underground Storage Tank Operations and Management Manuals (OMM) including detailed tank inspections, preparation of Water and Tank Pollution Prevention Plans (WTPPP), and development of state specific Environmental Compliance Handbooks.
